Academic Family Health Team
Resourced and Resilient Group – Trauma Therapy Program
Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team is facilitating a group workshop aimed to help support adult patients who have experienced past childhood trauma or adverse childhood experiences (distressing events that caused physical or emotional harm or neglect between 0-18 years old). In this workshop, we will focus on learning about the impacts of trauma, identify the symptoms of trauma and develop new coping strategies to help manage trauma symptoms (i.e. overwhelming emotions, anxiety, depression, numbing, dissociation, flashbacks, etc). This workshop is built upon Women’s College Hospital trauma therapy program.
Please note: this is not a group for processing and sharing the details of an individual’s trauma history.
